"Administrators only" error

Hi,

( Sorry for double posting - just changed the default news account name)

After upgrading to XP Pro from Win Me, I am unable to run windows update.
The error "Administrators only" occurs each time I attempt to run update,
although I am logged on as an administrator. In the windowsupdate
troubleshooting page, I found MS article 316524 and thought I had the
solution. I have followed every step in the article and sadly, it did not
resolve the problem.
Has anyone any other ideas. Much appreciated - thanks,

Hen you go to the welcome screen, hit ctrl-Alt-del twice,
type Administrator and leave the password blank, unless
you have knowingly added a password. Try windows update
from there. If i dont work, theres something seriously
wrong.
