Administrator Tools & Windows Update & Search

I was having trouble accessing and using the
Administrator Tools, Windows Update and the Search
command for several weeks. After checking which module
the abends were occuring in I deleted several data files
that appear to feed module stealthex.dll named
stealthex1.dat 2.dat etc.... Rebooted and all seems to be
fine. Thanks to all that tried to help.

Hi Randy,

Yes, I recall the extended threads looking for a cause
of your issue. Are you saying it was this stealthex.dll
that was abending, or that it was causing a bonifide
Windows module to abend (if this last, which?) ?

Did you figure anything as to where this came from ?
Google turns up only this thread for "stealthex.dll"
(which is a rather rare thing to see)
