Administrator Priveleges

Hi,
I am the computer administrator for my compter, yet when I try and change
the date and time or try and install new software it gives me a message
saying that I do not have proper system priveleges.
I dont know what to do.
PLease help

Are you logged on the the machine with the local administrator account? Or,
are you authenticated via a domain controller? Log in to the local machine
using the administrator account and see what happens.
