Administrator password

I am trying to reinstall windows xp, and come to a dos screen asking for the
administrator password. I don't have a password. Any help would be great.

If you're at a command prompt, that would probably mean that you're actually
at the recovery console, not in the reinstall functions.

Type "exit" to leave the recovery console, restart the machine, and don't
press R, but press Enter when asked what you want to do.

This was most helpful. I'll try this at work in the next hour. I should
have stated earlier that I'm trying to "repair" windows, and keep getting an
"Administrator password".

The reason would be that you must login as administrator to perform the
repair.
