i'ev got xp and i am the administrator my son has limited
account
when he is logged on into his account and needs to do
something that the limited account stops, i have to log
back into my name change his account to administrator log
back to him etc. is there a quicker way

It may not work in this situtaion but have you tried the Run As? You
right click on say the shortcut or application your son needs to run and
in the menu that drops down you select run as.
