Administrator password lost

Chris

I'm trying to repair a PC where the user has lost their
password and tried to be suave and disabled the
administrator account, as well as changing the admin
password to something they can't remember. Basically, I
can't use the normal ctrl-alt-del trick to get into the
admin mode and bypass the login.

I've tried some disk utilities to get the user account
unlocked, but have had no success, yet. Right now I need
a miracle in order to save his data (He set up individual
file/folder permissions, too). If anyone knows a way to
reset a password for Windows XP home edition without
using the admin login, please help!

Thanks

floppy from a different computer to reset his it will not
