Administrator password and recovery console

Hello, I'm trying to proceed with recovery console (Windows XP Pro), but
when it requires the admin password, it doesn't accept mine (it is an
administrator member password). In Microsoft's articles I have read so far,
it is written that it's possible to use either the administrator password or
an administrator group member's password. Can anyone help me on how to
proceed without the admin password, or on how to retrive it?

I suspect you are trying to input the pw for a user that is part of the
Administrator's group? That' won't work. It's looking for the pw of the
id="Admininstrator".

Login as the userid of the ID that is part of the Administrator's Group.
With that ID, try to change the pw of the id=Admininstrator that
something you know.

Note: it could be that the pw for id=administrator is still blank if you
never changed it?
