I recently installed Windows 2000 over Windows ME. When I tried to login as Administrator with the correct password, it repeatedly loops. I cannot login under any other name in either normal mode or safe mode. Help!

I had the same problem with win ME.... i had to back up my
files on ME and clean install win2k

It indicates that you probably had your system disk in another computer
which allocated your system partition diferrent drive letter (ie it is no
longer C: but let's say E:).
Boot your system with Windows 98 recovery boot diskette which has fdisk
command on it.
In DOS window type
fdisk /mbr
This will reset disk signature and cause Windows to enumerate drive letters
at next boot.
