administrator login, different on each workstation

We need to run an exe file on one workstation where I have signed in as an
administrator. I cannot run the file, the error messages says I don't have
appropriate permission to acces this file. If I use the same user name and
login into another workstation I can run the exe file no problem.

What settings do I have to change on the problematic workstation to run the
exe?

The first place I would start is to check the NTFS permissions on the file
and/or folder it is in. Normally you would see administrators with full
control permissions. Then verify that you are indeed an administrator on the
computer in question and also not a member of any group that has deny
permissions to the file/folder. You can use the command net user username to
see group membership for a user. If unsure of how to check NTFS permissions
