administrator locked

bought a used laptop and I cant do hardly any thing with
it because I dont have the user name and password for
the "administrator' I would reformat but I cant even seem
to do that

If you want to format it

Put, for example, the first Windows 2000 boot disk in &
continue with the others

Setup will run, delete the old partition, create a new
one, format it to NTFS & let setup run normally.

There are others you can find from searching this newsgroup, but one of the
best solutions is at:

This will allow you to reset the administrator password to a null password
.... Obviously, you need physical access to the device to do so ...
