Administrator Issue- Any suggestions?

For some reason, I lost Administrator priveledges on my Vista Home Premium.
I am the only user. I read somewhere a fix which added to my problem. I
opened cmd and typed " net user administrator /active: yes" and it created
another Administrator account. I f I open that log in screen, no programs are
there. If I open the old Admin screen, everything is there.
How can I delete the second user Admin that I created without thinking?
Then how do I restore my Admin rights to the original one. Thanks for all
your help:) Nick

Thanks for the link. I found it to be extremely helpful. I will attempt the
solutions when I get home tonight. As for your other advice, I tried the
User Accounts in Control Panel but it did not allow me to change account
type. The newly created account did not even have that option.
Come to find out, my home computer is registered under Workgroups instead of
Domain and have no clue how did that happen. Any materials on how to change
it to domain?
Once again thank you for the great and speedy response.

Hi there - the same thing seems to have happened to my computer - the admin
account has disappeared and so the control panel only flashes up for a
microsecond... It looks like you fixed your machine - I could not understand
the links and hope you can perhaps explain what you did to get it back????
Best regards
