Administrator Accout

Hi. My wife recently put a password on one of our accounts and now we seem to
have lost the administrator account. Because of this we have lost
administrator access to our computer. It is a stand alone so we do not have
seperate accounts on it. The administrator account has been changed to a
Limited Account and we cannot seem to change it back. How can I restore it?

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which
cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account(s). By design, the
only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to
reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at
the Welcome Screen or rebooting into Safe Mode will produce the standard
login dialog box.

I tried that and when I sign in under administrator and go to users the user
which I am trying to change is not present. I cannot figure out what is going
on.
