Administrator Account disabled

Hi, trying to secure my laptop I removed my user account from the
Administrator group and have managed to lock out the Administrator account
due to entering the wrong password a number of times.

So, I cannot run any programs which would allow me to reset the Admin
account,is there any way I can solve this withouth a re-build? Is it possible
to use the system re-store to return it to a working state before the account
was locked out? Have tried this already going into safe mode (F8) but did not
appear to work.

Any ideas happily received!

Sorry, all this did was give me the option to log on as the Administrator.
What I need to do is be able to enable the account without being part of the
Administrators group. A post from yesterday has given me some options, I'll
update when I've tried that.

Thanks to Malke, your program from
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ worked fine! Suprised at how
easy it is to bypass security!

Glad that NTpasswd worked for you. It isn't "my" program, though - can't
take any credit for Petter's brilliance.

You shouldn't really be surprised; any computer running any operating
system can be accessed by someone with 1) physical access; 2) time; 3)
skill; 4) tools. See "The 10 Immutable Laws of Security":
