How do I log onto my Win-XP Pro station using the
Administrator account? The only account that shows up
during the initial log-on screen are the user accounts.

Thanks.

The problem is: I don't get a login prompt, just icons
with user names. How do I get a "username/password"
dialog box?

Greetings --

Once any additional user accounts have been created, the
Administrator account will no longer be displayed on the Welcome
Screen. This is a default security feature that may, or may not, be
needed in your specific situation. By design, the only way to log
into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to reboot into Safe
Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome
Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.

If you hit CTL-ALT-DEL twice at Welcome, you get the dialog where you
can enter the explicit name
Administrator

You only get an icon for it if you boot to Safe Mode (which is the only
way to get it in XP home)
