Administrator Access

I am operating XP Home Edition on a Toshiba. Files that I
have created and saved on a floppy can not now be opened.
I have tried to open on the Toshiba as well as a Dell
Desktop operating with XP Professional. Both say the same
message 'access to A: is denied see administrator". I am
the administrator trying to access from my user profile.
What do I do to access the floppy?
These are critical files I need to put on my desktop hard
drive and save to CD. Thanks.
