is there any way to remove the administrator? i bought
the computer from someone who had it networked in a
business, and nobody knows the administrator's account
info. i kind of don't want to lose everything, but as it
stands, i can't do anything from the guest account (which
has the adm. crap on it)

No, you can't remove the main admin account (the default one created at install). Run a bootup CD with an NT password editor and reset the admins password.
If the files have been encrypted w EFS then you will have to find out the old admin password. Do that by copying the SAM database and then use L0phtcrack or other app like it to crack the admin password.

There is a 'pocket linux' binary package which fits on a floppy and allows you to modify the administrator password.
Get the utility 'rawrite' from any linux site. It allows you to create bootable floppies from .img or .bin linux bootable dumps

The utility I have is 'bd030426.bin'. I've lost track of its source; but it can be traced from linux.org etc
