Administrative Rights

Chris Z.

Hello,

Recently, we had to change the Administrator password on a
Windows 2000 Server. Ever since this change was made, the
Administrator username does not have administrative rights
to the server. The username is the same (Administrator),
but the password is different.

If there is any assistance that you could provide to us,
we would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Let me suggest the most likely possibility. Did you
logoff and then logon again as the Administrator with the
new password? If I remember correctly, a change of
password changes the security ID token. Therefore a
logging on again is necessary.
