Administrative password

My dell 8200 needs to replace a corrupt file. On system reinstall, I'm
being asked for an "Administrative Password". We never installed a
password. Could anyone tell me a way around this. Thank you,

The system in the link above can reset the Administrator
password offline.

Newsflash at 2004-01-16:

Support for easy change of RecoveryConsole parameters (one of
them tells RecoveryConsole to NOT ask for admin password).
