Admin Rights for playing games in XP

Hi,
I have an advent 7038 laptop running XP home edition. The problem I have is
that the laptop just turns itself off when i am playing any game. I had the
motherboard replaced but this has not solved the problem. I was reading the
back of a new game and it said that for this particular game to work I would
have to give it admin rights. Does anyone know what this is, how I resolve
it, and if this could be related to my other games not working for any length
of time before my laptop switches off.
I had also considered that this could be a memory related problem as this
has not been replaced. Any help or diagnosis would be very much appreciated.

Your problem is related to a hardware fault. Take for service and
demonstrate problem. If the machine can't be repaired and is under warranty
then it should be replaced by the manufacturer.

This is still a matter of defective hardware. It may be that either
the motherboard, CPU, or power supply are overheating. Insist that the
manufacturer fix it before the warranty expires.

This is caused by the software developers being too lazy (or inept) to
properly code their game to work with a multi-user OS, but it won't
cause the laptop to shut down; the game simply won't play.

A distinct possibility.
