admin right help

I trying to install hp5100 scanjet software. I keep
getting error saying "you must have administrator rights
to install software on windows nt(tm). I'm running
windows 2000 prof and i'm downloading window 2000 version.

is this something that can be fixed in window 2000 pro?

how do i install admin rights? i'm only one on computer.

First identify whether you have administrator right on your computer not?

Go to the run command and type compmgmt.msc and press enter. Go to local
user and groups and then go to user and then check at members of tab

If you are not administrator you cannot add self designate yourself as an
administrator


Is it home PC or corporate PC ?
