Hi to all! I'm trying to remove the GRUB because i wanna remove also the os
linux i have. I found that i have to run fixmbr from restore console from
winxp install cd but... when i try to use restore console, it asks me for
Administrator password.. I use the pass of my account (i am the only useres
with administrator rights) but it doesn't work! How can i do? thk to all!

You are being asked for the password for the built-in Administrator, not
your user with admin rights.

The password being requested is that of the built-in
_Administrator_ account, not the password for any other administrative
user accounts that the computer's owner may have created. Unless the
owner deliberately set the Administrator's password via the Management
Console (_not_ the Control Panel), it's probably still blank. WinXP Pro
asks the installer to set the Administrator's password during
installation, but WinXP Home doesn't.
