Help please. I want to run slideshows from both a CD and from My Documents. I
can do this but the time each picture is on screen is to long. How can I
adjust the time its on screen please.

You can change the timing two ways.

1. By hand

Start the slide show. Pressing the space bar will hold the slide on your
screen as long as you want. Press the right arrow key to get the next slide
(left arrow key for previous slide). Press spacebar again and the default
timing will return.

2. Automatic

You need to change the 5 seconds default value in the registry.

The easy and safe way to do this is to download TweakUI for windows XP from
this site:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Download the file TweakUI.exe from this site into one of your folder or make
a new folder for it. Open the folder and double click on the file to install
it. Once installed, click on Start, All Programs. Power Toys for Windows XP
will now be on the list of programs.

Click on it to open it and click on TweakUI for Windows XP.

A window will open. Click on the + sign at the left of Explorer to expand
it. Click on Slide show. Change the value from 5000 to what you want. Each
one thousand is equal to 1 second.
