Adjusting Startup Resourses in XP Home

Whatutility in XP will I use for the above? I obviously
would like to know more than just the process name so
that I know what I am doing

Doug Knox has a useful utility - www.dougknow.com and in the XP
Utilities section, look for 'Startup Tracker'

The Services section shows the services that are running, together with
such descriptive info as is available - as can also be found in Admin
tools - Services. For Other programs running, the path often gives the
clue: Eg '\ahead\ in a path is a component of Nero CD burning;
\Logitech\ is something to do with mouse or keyboard. . .
