ADJUST VERTICAL RULER

Some how I have adjusted the vertical ruler, so that all text starts from the
very top of the page and ends at the very bottom. Not sure how I have done
this?
I have been to file > page set up > margins and they show that I have 2.54cm
of margin top & bottom. Yet the ruler still hasnt changed and the text keeps
running top to bottom literally.
Any one know how to change this or can someone point me inthe right
direction?

I'm trying to write my 22,000 word dissertation!
Many thanks
Nicola

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "White space
between pages" box | OK.

And if you're working in Normal view, then switch to Print Layout
view.
