address with multiple domains

Has anyone run in to a problem sending email to addresses
with multiple domains? As in "(e-mail address removed)" ?
Or "(e-mail address removed)" ?

I'm not sure if this is an Outlook issue or an Exchange
issue. Any tips would be appreciated.


We're using Outlook 2002 and Exchange 2000
 
If you're using Exchange, the problem can't be on the client side. Is the
server able to telnet to the FQDN specified in the MX record for those
domains?
