Address question

Allen Perry

When typing in a address in the "To" field, I get a drop
down list of past address to the person I'm sending a
message to. So of those address are wrong, but still come
up and I can't seem to get the wrong ones deleted. How do
I clear any bad address out of the drop down list names in
the "To" field without deleting every address or contact
list?
Using Microsoft Office 2002.
Thanks for any help.

You should be able to highlight them and delete as they pop up, is this not
working for you!

Hmm you may have a damaged cache, one way to test is to delete (or rename) a
file with a nk2 extension that will be located in your user profile under
document and settings. This file will get rebuilt and it doesn't remove any
addresses from contact or other address books. Note you will lose the entire
cache contents though!

Not working.

I have the same problem - addresses popping up that are no longer in use
- so I found the answer valuable and tried it.
On my PC I cannot right-click on one of those dangling addresses and if
I left-click on it it autocompletes.

I experimented and was able to highlight one of the drop-down addresses
only by using the "south" cursor.

Try that.
