Address Field in Contact

I have a contact list of 10,000 people. When each of these persons addresses
are entered and saved, The United States of America automatically attaches
under the address I typed. This means I have 10,000 addresses that include
United States of America below the city and state. Even when I go into the
specific contact, erase "The United States of America", save and close, it
will still exist.

How do I stop Outlook from including USA in the address field?
How do I get rid of all 10,000 USA's in the address field?

With a specific contact open, Under Addresses, click on the
button immediately below "Addresses." In the dialog box
that opens, CHANGE the Country/Region to the correct one.
Blanks are not accepted, as every address has a Country/Region.

10,000? Big job! I know of no wholesale change. Are they
all in the same other coountry? Perhaps someone will come
along with that answer.

You're going about this the wrong way. This has always been normal behavior
in Outlook. The country is tied to your regional settings in Control Panel
and there is no way and no need to prevent from being inserted into the
Contact Record. Instead, you control whether or not is inserted into
addresses when you insert an address in Word. To do so, you need to edit the
AutoText layout that controls this. See
