Yes it does; it's the little book icon where all the email addresses are
stored.

Nope. Nothing is stored there. That is a just view of your Contacts Folder.
All Outlook data is in one file. The file you need is your Personal Folders
file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Actually the Address Book doesn't store addresses. The Address Book in
Outlook stores address lists. These can be Contacts folders or other sources
like a Global Address List or an LDAP directory or a legacy pab-file.

Assuming you are talking about a Contacts folder see;

No it doesnt, the address book is merely a view of certain entries in your
Contacts folder
