Address Book Multiple Cols & Fax?

K

Ken

Outlook2003 ...

My PC recently re-imaged & my Personal Address Book converted to Contacts.

Now my Address Book displays 2 Cols of Names (Name & Display Name) ... & ...
I also see multiple email addresses for the same name (one being a "Fax").

I wish to see 1 Col of Names only (Format = Last, First) ... & I do NOT wish
to see the "Fax" #'s.

How do I achieve this? ... Thanks ... Kha

for the cols you don't want, click and drag the heading up, and it will
disappear
to add cols, right click any heading, pick Field Chooser, and drag the field
name up to where you want it

What you describe is what I would do if in my "Inbox" or "Sent" Mail ... But
I am in my "Address Book" & I can only drag the Cols Left & Right ... Also, I
wish to not see the "Fax" No.

Thanks ... Kha

If you don't want to see fax numbers in the address book view, then don't
include them on your Contact records or prefix them with, say, the letter F so
Outlook can't recognize them as fax numbers.

Hi,
If you don't want to see fax numbers in the address book view, then don't
include them on your Contact records or prefix them with, say, the letter
F so Outlook can't recognize them as fax numbers.

Right, and if you have too many to do manually, you can use a tool like
Hide Fax Numbers
(http://www.SperrySoftware.com/Outlook-Hide-Fax-Numbers.asp) or one of the
ones at http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/nofax.asp.
