address book folders

I have been using Outlook Express 6 with the address book
being listed as with the .wab extension. The contacts are
divided into folders so I can find them better.

I just upgraded to Office 2003 & am trying to use Outlook
2003. It will only import the contacts not in a folder &
if I try it anyother way, it wants an address book with
the .pab extension.

First: how do I change the .wab extension to a .pab
extension?

Second: how do I get my contacts in folders over to
Outlook 2003 without changing them out of the folders,
importing them & then reputting them back into folders. I
really don't want to waste time doing such a thing.

Third: what is the best formatt to use to save my e-mails
& address book? I want to make a copy on a CD in case of
another computer crash. When I do "search" for *.pab or
*.wab or such, it never finds anything in any type of
search, though I can go there on my own to the *.wab. I'm
running XP Home.

Thanks

You cannot import directly from a WAB. You can only import from OE, and then
you can only import the main Contacts Folder, not subfolders.
