Address Book Display - how to change classification of fax numbers

Guest

I don't want to see fax numbers in my address book/contact list when I am
using outlook. I can see that some fax numbers show up because they are
classified as "FAX" and I want to change this, but cannot seem to find the
right help topic. Does anyone know how to do this?

If you do not fax with the fax numbers you can add a string in front of
the numbers or move them to a differnt field (for this please use the
ex- and importfunktion to and form Excel).

Best Regards

MJJ,
Sorry you got so much bad advice! Absolutely you can. Right Click on
the top header row of the address book and a whole list of options will open
up. Select the bottom item and it will give you a window of all of the
fields that cna be selected or deselected (over and over) to display what
ever information you desire.

Clarification: this post is obviously not referring to the Outlook Address
Book. If it is, it is completely wrong.

With the tool "EditContacts" you can avoid exporting and importing
contacts (that is not the best way). You will find the tool here:

http://www.marchert.de/software.html#ec

It supports also the possibility to move fields from one into anohter
field.

What is this refering to? I am looking into why in OL 2003 the assistant
button is there but it does not show the information. Thank you

We're not sure. "Maurie" seemed to be recalling the obsolete Personal
Address Book which has not been used by Outlook now for several years.
Your question appears to be about another topic entirely.
