Hello:

I am having a problem with MSOO 2003 where as it will not let me do any
entries into the address/contact list. Below are the errors I am getting. I
have tried to delete the contacts folder but there is no delete option. I
have read thru the help but everything I try does now work. I am at a loss
and do not know what to do at this point. Any suggestions are welcome.

The address list could not be displayed, the contacts folder associated
w/this address list could not be opened. it may have been moved or deleted.

Contacts Module to create this entry.

Do not touch your Contacts Folder. It is not the problem. The problem is
that your Outlook Address Book is not configured correctly, most likely
because you migrated your data incorrectly.
It is not unusual for the Outlook Address Book to "lose track" of the
connection to its Contacts Folder when you move or import your PST or update
your Outlook version or operating system. Use the following steps to reset
the connection. Note that in some instances you may actually have to remove
the Outlook Address Book completely from your Profile, close Outlook, and
then re-add it before you can get it to work.

Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right
click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is
the box to enable as email address book checked?
If this is grayed out...Go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or change
existing directories or address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present?
If it isn't listed, add it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed,
then remove it and close then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add
it.

I looked in my Outlook folder and there is no PST file in there. I do see a
WAB elsewhere but I think that is for Outlook Express.

I even tried to delete the Contacts folder but that won't work either.

No matter what I do, Outlook is not letting me create a new entry by going
to the icon in the toolbar, Address Book and then trying to make a new
entry.

You can't run Outlook without a PST file, so you have one.
You never make entries in the address book. You make them in the Contacts
Folder.

Read my post. It said to remove the re-add the Outlook Address Book Service.
Same as the other KB article you found.
