My bride has acquired a HP iPAQ RX1950.
Outlook 2002 is supplied on CD, however we both use Outlook Express for
e-mail.
Backing up personal data to PC is the main reason to install supporting
software, but if the sending/receiving of e-mail from the pocket PC is used,
Outlook is required (OE on the pocket PC would have been nice)

Do Outlook and Outlook Express live together amiably, or do they fight for
supremacy?
over addresses etc. (If we continue to use OE)
One other method for backup that has been suggested, is to a CF Card and
don't install Outlook ?

Or switch to Outlook ;-)

They can coexist on the same machine. Default handlers can be set in
Control Panel -> Internet Options-> tab Programs.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

Thanks, will think about it some more (when she who must be obeyed learns to
use her new toy) :-)

One wants to be the default email program. You choose which one unless you
install Outlook then it sets itself as default but you can switch it back to
OE till you get a Junk Mail filter update then Outlook will be set as
default and you get to set it back if you want OE to be the default. But
since OE isn'ton Windows Mobile (that I know 100% about because no one will
buy me anything with Windows Mobile on it) there's no reason to have to
deal with OE at all.

Best bet would be to just switch to Outlook. since you can't transport OE
data back and forth.
