Is there a way to keep certain contacts from entering the address book? Not
all contacts have an email address.

Thanks,
Bob M

The address book shows only contacts with an email address or fax number.

What version of Outlook? In later versions, the Outlook Address Book only
shows contacts that have an e-mail address and/or a fax number (which is
considered to be a valid electronic address).

Is it in Internet Mail Only mode -- check Help | About? If so, you'd need to
put those contacts in a different folder.

I upgraded to O2003. It does what I want now. BUT now I can't get the
address book to list the names by the last name first. By the first name,
it's like the first grade to me. Can I do it by the last name? In my
contacts I have them listed by the last name. Thanks for your help.

Choose Tools | Email Accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books. Select Outlook Address Book, then click Change. You'll see
choices for using First Last or the File As field, which is set by default
to Last, First.

If you want to include the company name in the File As field property or use
a different order, you'll see your choices listed in Tools | Options |
Contact Options. Making a change there affects only new contacts that you
add after the change.
