address bar

can anyone please help me my address bar is not working
right, i have to type a complete website address like for
example http://www.ebay.com if i type only www.ebay.com
i get a message that reads cannot find'www.ebay.com'.
make sure path or internet address is correct. i have
selected auto complete and that didnt help i click on
restore defaults settings , no luck i tried saving page
to favorites still no luck , before if the addres i typed
was wrong it would automatically do a search and give me
a list of sites or if i typed www. _______ whatever site
i typed it would take me to it and also the addres bar
would automatically drop down and show pages in history
so i could just clik on the link in history ever since i
did the critical updates a few days ago and updated to
the ie6 its not working properly please help

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
