My address bar is not visible. Under view, toolbars,
everything is grayed out. It is not a sizing issue
because these are no spaces to expand an area. I tried
to download IE 6.0 and nothing happened.

I have the File, Edit...line. Then the Back Button,
FOrward button....Line.

The only way I can navigate is to download Yahoo
Companion. Is there anyway I can erase all the
preferences and load it fresh? Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

Things to Check/Do

Press F11 see if you are currently in Screen mode. It's an On/Off key.

Close all instances of Internet Explorer except one
Right-click on the top Toolbar, uncheck: "Lock the Toolbars"
Place the cursor over the "Address" button and click (hold down)
It will change to a 4-way arrow, move or expand the Address Bar to desired
location
Right-click on the top Toolbar, check: "Lock the Toolbars"
Hold down the Ctrl key and close Internet Explorer.

Confirm these default Registry entries exist:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Show_ToolBar"="yes"
"Show_URLinStatusBar"="yes"
"Show_URLToolBar"="yes"

In Internet Explorer Menu: Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab
Scroll down half way to:
Search from the address bar...
When searching.... select a mode.
Click Apply.
