address bar search

I have googled and found hundreds of people with my problem, the address
bar search function does not work. I was "highjacked". I ran spybot and
removed all spy-ad ware that was on my computer but it still will not
search, it looks for a "http" address and stops. I've tried the settings and
a lot of reg edits but so far no luck. I could create another "user" but I'd
rather fix it. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I had found this through Google and had already run the registry
edit, didn't work. Thanks for the help anyway. It has to be somewhere in the
"hkey current user" the search works for every other "user."

These days most of us are recommending HijackThis to identify and assist in
the removal of these bad guys. **Post your files to any of the following
forums, not here:**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.
