Address Bar not visible in IE6 SP1

R

Rajesh

Does anybody know why the address bar in IE6 is not
visible for me? I can go to websites using Ctrl+O to open
and then type the name of the web address I want to get
to but I do not see the address bar.

I have XP home edition on my Laptop and have put in SP1
of IE6 with the latest security updates that are
recommended by Microsoft.

I have tried to turn on the address bar from View-
Toolbars->Address Bar but there is no effect doing this.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall IE6 from the Add
Programs Menu, but that did not help either?

Does anybody have any idea why the address bar is not
visible?

Try this:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_toolbarfix.htm

(or)

Download IE Addressbar fix from here:
http://mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IEToolbar.reg

Deletes the following registry key; Resets Toolbar, Addressbar positions to
defaults. Restores hidden/missing bars:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
