address bar gone, registry corrupted?

hi:

i'm running winxp, IE 6

i have recently had a prolonged battle with hijackers.
the result is victory but my IE 6 address bar is gone. i
have tried the knowledge base (delete some registry
entries in HKCU/..../toolbar but this doesn't work.

i am not certain, but i believe the CLSID entries have
been corrupted and would like to restore them. i have
tried system restore 3 times and it took forever and
failed each time.

i have tried to uninstall/reinstall internet explorer but
this was a NIGHTMARE due to a "logo testing" error. i am
not sure how but i have managed to get it working again.

PLEASE HELP! email me at (e-mail address removed)

Reset the toolbar setting from Registry using this fix:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_toolbarfix.htm

Reboot, and run this command REGSVR32 /i BROWSEUI.DLL in the Start/Run dialog.
