Is there a way to delete the items that appear in the address bar drop down
window. It will not clear when you go to tools/internet options/content/clear
forms. Doing this only clears auto complete in other areas. Can anybody help
me with this?

Hi momto :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Deleting History and Typed URLs in Internet Explorer
http://www.wbaudisch.de/DeletingHistory.htm

Unable to delete AutoComplete entries
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1585442,00.asp

or...

CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
or
http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000-2144-10315544.html

History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

Hope this helps

The best way I've found to do this is with EditURLs.
