address bar clears with every reboot

At some point after SP2 an update or something is causing the address
bar history (the pull down history) to clear after a reboot.
I find it rather annoying to retype the URLs I use a lot.
although there is a autocomplete thing happening as I begin to type
the URL.
How can I prevent this from happening?

"Semper",

r.c. Internet Explorer on your desktop . c. Properties > set 'Days to
keep pages in history' to your liking >Apply > OK

If that does not work or is not applicable, because your settings
already cater for your needs, post back.

I'm having the same problems (see:
Pine.SGI.4.40.0410262144560.10341-100000@shell01-g)

It's a much tougher nut to crack than this. Also, it's happening on a
Win98 machine.

Any help would be appreciated.

It seems we have a similar problem.
I reboot infrequently. like after 3 weeks to a month at a time.
I run XP pro and have it tuned well and it just humms along.
I also do some extraordinary things like IRC a lot of browsing moreso
that many normal users. And I have been able to enjoy long uptimes.
SP2 went smoothly for me with minimal driver adjustments.
It seems there are so many having problems with this and that, I must
be one of the lucky few.
Of two PCs with the same update level only one is doing this. So it
has to be a setting or registry error.
This little bug soon will pass..... I am very sure.
Post back if you have any success.
I did read Jan II's post will look into that to see if it works
thanks for answering :)
