To begin,, the network infactructure-

Servers -
Server00 - Windows Server 2003/Installed
Server01 - Windows Server 2003/plan to install
Server10 - Linux RedHat Workstation/Installed

Client/Workstations -
Client 00 - Windows XP Pro/Installed
Client 01 - Windows XP Home/Installed
Client 02 - Windows 2000/Installed
Client 03 - Windows Vista, LaptopWireless access/plan to install
Client 10 - Linux Redhat/Installed
Client 11 - Linux ubuntu//Installed

At this time, the common network node is a DSL router providing connectivity
to devices and the 'outside world' (ie., the Internet). Various printers
are attached to clients as well as networked shared. At this time, everybody
'sees' everybody. The main purpose of this netword design is to , as an
'Administrator', learn how to manage 'affairs' of the network as well as
explore web site design with DotNetNuke, wireless applications and what ever
else I feel like doing such like a Linux Proxy Server to 'sniff' at network
traffic (stuff like that).

Installed on Server00 is a 'legal', license copy of the full package Windows
Small Business Server 2003. Active Dirctory is configured (may need further
tuning) and a DNS is named (may need further tuning). The plan is to add
Server01 who then will be 'networked' through a hub (plans may in the future
permit expansion, clustering, etc.) to Server00 and Server00 will
provide/manage network traffic for Server01.

The principal question is a license for Server01. While the plan is to task
to Server00 the principal duties of DNS, DHCP, IIS and AD management for
this network, Server01 will bear the responsibilities of Exchange Server
(SQL, email) as well as backup and network storage management (NAS).

So the question is that of license for Server01? While I could install on
the second server my copy of Windows Small Business Server 2003, what steps
are required to 'buy' a second license for this second installation and how
does one figure the cost? This second installation on Server01 will be one
step from the Internet. Server01 will have to step through Server00
(permission will be required for traffic both ways and I will also have to
figure this out).

For now, my princicpal question is one of a license for Server01?

Thanks much
