Additional Domain Controller

Hello,

I already installed new AD (DC) with domain name
ilsas.com.my .During the installation the DNS server was
also installed automatically with ADI. Then I verified the
AD installation. When I opened the DNS, under forward
lookup zone there are two items one is the dot . and one
is ilsas.com.my . But when i tried to expand all the items
the _tcp,_udp,_msdcs and _sites are not there.

The problem occured when I tried to add additional DC. The
message is ilsas.com.my is not a domain controller or your
domain controller cannot be contacted. I tried to restart
the netlogon service but the problem still occured. If I
need to modify the srv record, how I'm gonna to edit it?.I
believe that its DNS problem (correct me if wrong)

Is your server pointing to itself for DNS settings ? Rightclick on your
domain in DNS, go to the properties and check, that Dynamic updates are
enabled. Restart Netlogon Service. You can check the records that should be
present in DNS against %systemroot%\system32\config\netlogon.dns file.
Maybe run dcdiag and netdiag on your DC. This will give you a better
overview of what could be the problem. This tools are located in Support
Tools on server CD. Also check your eventlog on the server.
