adding to the "send to" list.

How can I add to the "send to" items when right clicking a
file/folder/location?

It does not seem to be as easy as XP and I can't seem to find a send to file
I can access.

Thanks in advance. Bob.

Actually, to access the run command, you can use Win (key) + R or Click
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run

Well, I suppose it wasn't so. :)

That's cool to know, thanks! I thought they'd told us during the beta
that they wouldn't allow us to modify the SendTo list in order to
protect us, so I'd given up hope.

Oh nice. In XP you could just type sendto, but this is good. Works for
cookies too. DO you know any links telling more about thee shell commands?

Works with the following names:

but a few of these just flash & disappear, ie. TreePropertiesFolder -- some
new, hidden namespace thing in Vista.

Also works with Namespace CLSIDs, but who wants to type these out! :)

You could use it as you did in XP, if you remove 'Everyone' permissions from
the 'sendto' junction in %userprofile%
[Right-click junction > Properties > Security.....]

Also, you can drop a file on the SendTo folder even though you can't open
the folder.

I don't remember what the default permissions on the folder were, since I've
probably played around with mine, but it's a link to

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

which you can change permissions on and open up to view.

The default permissions are to have special permissions set so that Everyone
is denied List access.

There will be others who will tell you that changing them is a bad idea; I
don't exactly understand why; I just defer to their expertise.
