adding TIME

L

Lorrie

Mark tried to answer this question for me but I am not
trying to multiply the Hours by the rate! I need to
dtermine if someone works 8:30 on a day. 7:30 is at
regular time, :30 minutes is at straight time and :30
minutes is at overtime. The totals of those columns will
then by multiply by the hourly rate. I have the formula
for column I and J - I just need the formula for K, L and
the totals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been
working on this for six days now.

M3=7:30 (reg hrs per day)
I J K L
Total REGULAR EXTRA HRS EXTRA HRS
hours HOURS (@REG) (@OT)
8:00 7:30 :30 0:00
10:00 7:30 :30 2:00
4:00 4:00 :00 0:00
total total total total

U want to put 8:30 (A) in 1 cell then
1) since (A) over 7:30, make 1 cell = regular time which will be 7:30 ?
2) make another formula that takes the difference between (1) and (A), and
for the first 30 minutes call this "straight" time ?
3)make a third formula that takes the difference between "straight" time and
the difference between (A) and 7:30, and call this "over time" ?
