Adding text to drawings

Hello All - wondered if you could help. I've drawn a database diagram i
Word using the flowchart tool. I need to add text to the drawing but i
seems I can only do this using a text box. Is there a way of addin
freetext without a box to the drawing?

Help much appreciated.

Have your tried rightclicking the drawing (I assume you used the drawing
toolbar and the autoshapes) and choosing add text from the menu?
