adding sound

Using FP2000, I'm trying to put a background sound on my homepage. I've read
on how to do this but when I browse my files I can't see the file. Should I
need to have the file in a certain format at the moment its WMA file....

Thanks
Joe

When you are browsing, did you notice the 'files of type' box? It lists the
supported (at that time) audio formats- wave, midi, realmedia, AIFF, AU.
What you could try doing is manually editing the code to use your WMA file,
it may or may not work.
One thing to be aware of is that <BGSOUND> was something MS made up and does
not have a very wide acceptance- only IE will actually play the sounds. Many
people feel that it the music is annoying and there is not a native method
to be able to control the volume.
My recomendation would be to install the WMP addin for FrontaPage, and embed
the media player to give the viewer control of the sound. That will work in
other browsers
