Wish to add Script (All Res) to my drop-down Word font choices. I
can't figure out how, although it's in my general font folder (can see
in Control panel). How do I accomplish this?

It's not possible. Script is a "vector" font, and support for those
fonts was dropped in Word 97. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=163059.

The alternative is to find a TrueType font that's similar. Several of
them come with Office, including Edwardian Script, Freestyle Script,
French Script, and Lucida Handwriting. If none of them suit you, there
are thousands of fonts on the Net -- use Google to look for "free
script font".

Jay, Thanks for the (unpleasant) clarification that that particular
version of script can't be used, although the Script (all Res) had
real script caps, as in handwriting, unlike the others you cited. But
let's assume I found another True Font in my Fonts folder that I
wanted to include in my Word document. How would I go about inserting
that font into the drop-down choices to use in Word?

Thanx, JACK

If any TrueType font is installed in the Windows\Fonts folder, then it
will automatically be available in Word. There is no such thing as
"installing a font in Word" separately from installing it in Windows.

If you aren't seeing certain fonts in the dropdown, have a look at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CommonFontProbs.htm and maybe
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NoFonts.htm.
