Adding SATA HDD questions

I bought a SATA HDD as a secondary drive thinking my primary HDD was
sata... it's not. The good news is that my mobo supports SATA (Asus
A7N8X Deluxe). I gather from other posts that my computer will still
allow me to use a SATA drive even though my other drive isn't.

Couple questions:

1) if this is going to be a secondary drive, should I hook it up to
the PRI_SATA1 or SEC_SATA1 header on my mobo?

2) Will I have to do something special to get the computer and XP to
recognize the drive, or will it do it all 'automatically'?

3) I bought a Western Digital Cavier WD800 drive. It has no jumpers
on it right now. Do I have to add jumpers to make it a 'secondary'
drive? From the documentation I could look up, it didn't appear so.

Thanks!

No jumpers are needed with SATA. The jumpers were there on PATA because
PATA allowed 2 HDs per PATA; SATA only has 1 HD per SATA.

Well, I went for it and answered my own questions....

1) I hooked it up to Primary, since I heard the controller for SATA is
different than the one for IDE

2) It recognized it 'automatically', I just went into disc manager in
XP and it was there... initialized it, then formatted it.

3) It seems to work fine w/o the jumpers.
