Adding Programs to Scanner Events?

My scanner has a number of buttons that trigger events. In the list of
actions, I only have PhotoShop and Abby Fine Reader.

How can I add more programs to the list?

That would be controlled by your scanner software, so either check the
manual that came with the scanner or check with the tech support folks or
the web site of the scanner manufacturer.
